Thursday, November 7 – 12:55 EST – Stade Josy Barthel
Sevilla will be moving on to the Europa League knockout rounds if they can win against Dudelange in Luxembourg. The Spanish side has been dominant in the group stage as they have picked up three wins in as many games. Furthermore, they are yet to concede a goal in the competition and we can expect them to do so for a fourth consecutive game on Thursday. On the other hand, Dudelange is having difficulty competing against higher caliber teams such as Sevilla. The hosts actually won the first match of the group stage against APOEL, but then failed to pick up any points in the succeeding matches. Sevilla should not have any issues winning this match and we expect to do so by at least a two goal margin.
OUR PICK: SEVILLA -2 ASIAN HANDICAP
Thursday, November 7 – 12:55 EST – Stadio Olimpico
Lazio have a big task ahead as they face group leaders Celtic in Rome. Last time out, Celtic came out on top as they defeated Lazio 2-1. The Italian side has been playing better ever since, and they are currently on a three game winning streak. However, anything less than three points on Thursday will complicate things for them in Group E. On the other hand, Celtic sit at the top of the standings and a win against Lazio will see them move on to the next round. The home team will depend on Ciro Immobile to score goals and earn them a result here. The Italian forward has been in excellent form lately, scoring three goals in his last four competitive matches. Lazio should get the job done at home, however they have been conceding goals in six of their last seven fixtures. Expect both teams to find the back of the net here.
OUR PICK: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
Thursday, November 7 – 15:00 EST – Ibrox Stadium
Finally, Rangers will host Porto in Glasgow in what promises to be a very even fixture. Both teams are tied on four points in Group G coming into this match. Last time out, Porto and Rangers had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Portugal. A win for either team will allow them to get closer to a spot in the knockout rounds. Both teams have been playing well domestically lately. Interestingly enough, they both lost their last match on October 3 in the Europa League. Since then, both teams have remained undefeated. Overall, we are expecting an even match at the Ibrox Stadium on Thursday. With that being said, taking the home team on double chance is definitely a worthy option.
