Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks

Sunday, January 12 – 18:40 EST – Lambeau Field

Green Bay had some time to rest up and plan for this encounter. These teams have not met all season therefore we are in for an interesting game. The tactics both teams bring to this one can be the difference maker. These teams are built similarly. Experienced quarterbacks on both ends, a variety of weapons on the ground and in the air. Last but not least a solid defensive unit. The Packers are 7-1 at home this season which bodes well for this game. Green Bay finished the season with five consecutive wins. It remains to be seen if their week off will halt their momentum or push a well rested team even further. Rodgers is 4-3 in his career in Divisional playoff games. This game is screaming out for Davante Adams to grab this opportunity and cement himself as a top 3 receiver in the league. It is in games like these where star players can reach elite status.

The Seahawks will feel confident going into this one. Their road record has been spectacular this season as they picked up 7 wins a only a single loss. Russell Wilson was tremendous last week, accumulating 325 passing yards and one touchdown. The eight-year veteran has been one of the top QB’s in the NFL this season and has not tossed an interception in four straight games. After the injury to Chris Carson, the Seahawks have not had much success with the run game. They have had to rely on their receivers to get them through tough stretches. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf have combined to form a threatening duo at wide receiver. In particular the rookie WR had one of the best performances of his young career in Sunday’s win, compiling 160 receiving yards on seven catches.
