Wednesday, September 25 – 15:00 EST – Giuseppe Meazza

Antonio Conte has revolutionized this Inter club. He kept the core from last season, added a few key signings as well as his own tactics and this team is ready for a title challenge. It is true that they have yet to face a team that had their season in order. The back line of Skriniar, de Vrij and Godin has looked phenomenal so far. Expect this defensive shape to go unchanged throughout the entire season if all three remain healthy. Offensively, Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez have formed an excellent understanding. They seem to be highlighting each others strengths and minimizing their weaknesses. Alexis Sanchez has been an unused weapon in Conte’s arsenal. Expect him to come out full of desire when given the opportunity to be involved in this successful club.

Lazio have struggled with consistency. A 3-0 victory against Sampdoria and a derby draw against Roma were positive results. However, their shock defeat to lowly SPAL was a let down for fans of the club. Lazio will be looking to hand Inter their first defeat of the season. The task will be a difficult one on the road. Lazio will turn to usual suspect Ciro Immobile in order to find the back of the net in this one. Furthermore it seems as though Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has returned to playing his best football. Lazio desperately needed him to return to his form of a couple of seasons ago. He earned man of the match praise last time out against Parma and will need to have a similar performance on Wednesday.
