After five Premier League fixtures, both Leicester and Tottenham have earned eight points. A four way tie for third between both of these clubs, Chelsea, and Manchester United, adds increased incentive to secure all three points. Pundits have been quick to heap praise on this Leicester side. However, upon further inspection it seems as though they have a tendency to struggle against above average competition. Their wins have come against promotion sides Sheffield United and Bournemouth. Meanwhile, they drew against Chelsea and lost to Manchester United last time out. They must secure points against Tottenham to prove that they are capable of beating top teams. Brendan Rogers’ back line has been impressive. They have managed to concede four goals in five games. This is an adequate stat by Premier League standards.

Tottenham managed to tie games against both Manchester City and Arsenal this season. They should look at those results as moderate successes. They desperately need to take three points on the road against Leicester. Tottenham cannot afford another slip up similar to their loss against Newcastle earlier in the season. The good news is that they are coming off a 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace. After serving a suspension for the first two matches of the season, Heung-Min Son found the back of the net twice against Palace. Son and others around him seem to be finding their form at the right time to produce a string of winning performances. Furthermore, the return of Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombélé adds extra depth to the squad.
