Liverpool vs Arsenal Prediction & Match Preview

Saturday, August 24 – 12:30 EST – Anfield

This is a must watch game for any Premier League fan or neutral for that matter. Klopp’s men will look to put an end to Arsenal’s fine form. Liverpool are 2-0, however their competition has not been stellar. They face their first tough test against an Arsenal squad that seems promising for the first time in a long time. In the last 5 meetings between the clubs, Liverpool have won 3 and drawn 2. Liverpool have one of the best back lines in world football. Furthermore, their striking trident is the most dangerous across Europe. Firmino, Mané and Salah can all hurt any team at any moment. There have been question marks surrounding the goalkeeper position. Adrian has been starting in place of the injured Alisson and has looked less than stellar.

Arsenal enter this one with maximum confidence. The verdict is still out, however it is likely that Arsenal enjoyed one of the best windows in the Premier League. They added true quality into their eleven. Ceballos seems to be the long needed centre attacking midfielder that Arsenal have yearned for. His play has been miraculous and he’ll be looking to set up fellow new arrival Nicolas Pépé. The Ivorian joined on a monster fee and he’ll want to make it into the starting eleven for the first time. Arsenal have their own dangerous trident to contend with. Pépé, Aubameyang and Lacazette should be terrors all season long. Arsenal’s weakness is their shaky back line. The centre back pair of David Luiz and Papastathopoulos have yet to be tested by high quality opposition.
