We’ve got two exciting match-ups today as we cover Tuesday’s MLB Daily Double. Last night, we correctly predicted 1 out of the 2 featured picks. The Indians won their match in the last inning against the Red Sox, however the Angels deservedly lost against the Pirates. With that being said, we’ve had a phenomenal month of August so far with our baseball picks. We will look to return to our winning ways on Tuesday with our MLB Daily Double.

Kansas City Royals vs St. Louis Cardinals (August 13 – 20:15 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Glenn Sparkman (3-7, ERA: 5.58) vs Jack Flaherty (5-6, ERA: 3.72)

Kansas City’s season has been done for a long time now, as they sit near the bottom half of the American League table. They face a Cardinals team that has been performing poorly when playing away as of late. However, they’ve had a respectable season so far, as they are currently 2nd place in their division. The Royals are coming into this game after two convincing wins against the Tigers. On the other hand, the Cardinals have won three consecutive games against the Pirates. Furthermore, the two teams have met only twice this season, splitting the series one a piece. We think the Cardinals have the upper hand in this match, and will snap their poor away form tonight. After all, they are chasing the top spot in the division, while the Royals know they have nothing else to play for.

Colorado Rockies vs Arizona Diamondbacks (August 13 – 20:40 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Jon Gray (10-8, ERA: 4.06) vs Zac Gallen (2-3, ERA: 2.40)

The Rockies host the Diamondbacks on Tuesday evening in a divisional matchup. The home team currently sits in last place of the National League West Division, while Arizona is currently in second place. Colorado has been poor at home this season, winning only 9 of their last 25 matches at the Coors Field. On the other hand, the road team has been one of the better teams in the National League when playing away. They have also won four consecutive matches against the Rockies. We believe that they will continue their positive form on Tuesday, as they look to take advantage of Colorado’s negative record at home.
