The baseball action continues as we feature another MLB Daily Double today! Last night, we correctly predicted our two featured picks (Diamondbacks +1.5 and Cardinals to win). Unfortunately, there was a pitcher change for Colorado against Arizona so that pick got voided. However, we still came out with a few winnings due to St Louis’ win. On that note, we have another MLB Daily Double for you as we look to build on our excellent record so far this month.

Washington Nationals vs Cincinnati Reds (August 14 – 16:05 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Stephen Strasburg (14-5, ERA: 3.72) vs Trevor Bauer (10-8, ERA: 3.85)

The Nationals host the Reds on Wednesday afternoon in the third match of the series between the two teams. Washington demonstrated to have the upper hand so far, as the team won both games against Cincinnati. On that note, they will be looking to make it 3 in a row to sweep the series today. They have confidence that their starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg will lead them to another success. He has been dominant specifically against National League central teams, as he holds a 16-5 record in his last 21 starts. Furthermore, the Nationals have been strong at home, winning 18 of their last 25 matches. We believe that they have what it takes to get another win against the Reds on Wednesday.

Philadelphia Phillies vs Chicago Cubs (August 14 – 19:05 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Aaron Nola (10-3, ERA: 3.67) vs Cole Hamels (6-3, ERA: 3.09)

The Phillies host the Cubs in the second match of the series between the two teams. Philadelphia won the opening match with a tight 4-2 scoreline. They will be looking to make it two in a row against Chicago on Wednesday evening. However, it won’t be an easy task as the Cubs will look to bounce back in order to conserve the top position in the National League central division. On that note, they are currently 6-4 in their last 10 overall matches, while the Phillies are 4-6. The Cubs will look towards their starting pitcher Cole Hamels to earn them a win. He has won two consecutive starts for the division leaders. We’re expecting another tight match today between these two teams, and we think the Cubs will keep it close as they try to split the series with a win.
