The baseball action continues on Saturday as we feature another MLB Daily Double. Last night, we were able to predict one of our two featured picks, as the Dodgers could not extend the Yankees’ losing streak. We look to bounce back tonight with two winning picks and improve on our positive record for the month of August. As always, make sure you follow us on our social media platforms to stay up to date with all our picks and predictions.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Cincinnati Reds (August 24 – 19:05 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Trevor Williams (5-6, ERA: 5.74) vs Alex Wood (1-2, ERA: 4.81)

The Pirates face the Reds on Saturday evening at PNC Park. Pittsburgh won the opening match of the series 3-2 last night and will be looking to replicate that result. On the other hand, Cincinnati will be looking to win as many games as possible in the month or so that’s left to play in the MLB season. Their goal is to clinch a playoff spot position through the wild card but it won’t be easy. Furthermore, they have now lost 4 matches in a row on the road, and they will want to put an end to that tonight. Their chances of doing so are quite high as they face one of the worst teams in the National League. The Reds will be looking towards their starting pitcher to earn them a much needed win. He has won his last 3 consecutive starts against the Pirates.

Oakland Athletics vs San Francisco Giants (August 24 – 21:07 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Chris Bassitt (9-5, ERA: 3.61) vs Madison Bumgarner (8-8, ERA: 3.66)

The Athletics open up the series against the Giants on Saturday evening at Coliseum. Oakland has been phenomenal as of late, sweeping the Yankees in their last series. They will look to build on that momentum against the Giants on home soil. On the other hand, San Francisco has been experiencing a poor spell in recent games, as they lost 4 consecutive matches. The two teams have met only twice this season, where they both won a game each. We believe that the Athletics will have what it takes to continue their positive form. They have been phenomenal, having won 23 of their last 30 home matches. Expect them to pick a very important win on Saturday.
