Our MLB Daily Double winning streak came to an end last night after a disappointing showing by both the Braves and the Phillies. Nonetheless, our streak ran through 4 consecutive nights, while correctly predicting 9 matches. On that note, we look to bounce back tonight with two exciting matches. Make sure to follow us on our social media outlets to stay up to date with all our predictions.

New York Mets vs Washington Nationals (August 9 – 19:10 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Marcus Stroman (6-11, ERA: 3.07) vs Stephen Strasburg (14-5, ERA: 3.72)

The New York Mets have been red hot specifically at home this season. They have won 21 out of the last 30 home matches, which puts them as one of the most in-form teams at the moment. Furthermore, they are on a mission to improve their record and make a jump in the next coming weeks for a playoff spot. They have been successful as well against the Nationals this season by winning 4 consecutive matches. On the other hand, Washington will look towards their starting pitcher in the hope of capturing a much needed victory. Strasburg has been phenomenal this season. Overall, he is 21-6 in his last 27 road starts. We believe that this will be a close contest between the two teams, and therefore we will side with an advantage for the home team.

OUR PICK: NEW YORK METS +1.5 RUNLINE

St. Louis Cardinals vs Pittsburgh Pirates (August 9 – 20:15 EST)

Expected Pitchers: Dakota Hudson (10-6, ERA: 3.99) vs Chris Archer (3-8, ERA: 5.35)

The Cardinals and the Pirates have both been out of form in the past few weeks. They will hope to turn their fortunes around on Friday night with a win. St. Louis definitely has the upper hand in this match, as they have been dominant against Pittsburgh this season. On that note, they managed to win the last 5 consecutive matches against them. Furthermore, they will look towards their starting pitcher Dakota Hudson to get them out of this negative slump. Hudson is 8-0 in his last 8 starts against teams with less than a .500% winning percentage. On another note, Pittsburgh has been awful when playing away this season. They have recorded only 8 wins in the last 30 matches on the road. We believe that the Cardinals should be able to put a dominant performance in front of their home crowd tonight.

OUR PICK: ST. LOUIS CARDINALS MONEYLINE
