The baseball action continues on Thursday as we feature today’s free pick. Last night, we correctly predicted the Athletics to come out on top against the Angels. Things were not looking good for Oakland, however they were able to score two runs in the last inning to win the match. Tonight, we will take a look at another crucial match that involves a team that is fighting for a place in the playoffs. With that being said, the playoffs are around the corner and we have an excellent offer for our readers. We partnered up with Betway and they are offering a 100% bonus up to $100 for new customers (T&C’s apply). Click here to find out more and take advantage of this offer.

Chicago White Sox vs Cleveland Indians

Thursday, September 26 – 20:10 EST – Guaranteed Rate Field

Expected Pitchers: Dylan Cease (4-7, ERA: 5.67) vs Aaron Civale (3-3, ERA: 1.82)

The White Sox host the Indians in the third and final match of the series on Thursday evening. The two teams have split the series so far. The Indians won the opening match 11-0, and the White Sox won the second match 8-3. Chicago will be happy with the way they bounced back last night following a disappointing defeat. After tonight’s match, they will face the Detroit Tigers in a three match series to finish off their season. They will send Dylan Cease to the mound in the hope of getting consecutive wins against the Indians. The 23 year old rookie has posted a 4-7 record in his last 14 starts. Furthermore, he recorded an ERA of 6.09 in his last 7 starts. He will need an excellent performance against the Indians if he wants to award his team another win.

On the other hand, the Indians will be disappointed with the way they played last night. Cleveland is in a do or die situation as it stands in the wild card standings. They are currently trailing the Tampa Bay Rays by 1.5 games. The Indians know that they cannot afford to lose any more matches. A loss tonight will reduce their chances by a larger margin. Cleveland will send Aaron Civale to the mound. The 24 year old rookie has pitched well this season. He has recorded an ERA of 1.82 in 9 starts, and posted a 3-3 record. Overall, this match means too much to the Indians. We don’t see them dropping another one against the White Sox given the situation that they are in.
