NBA Free Pick – Sunday, December 1

NBA action continues on Sunday night and we have an NBA free pick for our readers. The Orlando Magic will host the Golden State Warriors. Orlando have been up and down all season long. They seem like a team who are destined to miss out on the playoffs even though they currently occupy the eighth spot. Meanwhile it has been a nightmare season for the Warriors that is likely not going to let up any time soon. They will chalk up the season and look to come back strong next year when their stars are healthy. Before we get into our preview for tonight’s match, we would like to remind our readers that our NBA picks are now available for purchase. You can get today’s picks for only $5.

Orlando Magic vs Golden State Warriors

Sunday, December 1 – 18:00 EST – Amway Center

It will likely be a three team race for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte, Orlando and Washington are all fighting for that spot. Ultimately Orlando do not have the roster to keep pace in that fight. Truth be told, neither do the other two teams however Washington and Charlotte possess more upside and it will likely be one of those two who squeak into the playoffs. Orlando have been horrendous on the road this season. They are currently 1-7 in eight away games. This must improve if they even want an outside shot at the playoffs. Evan Fournier is leading the team on offence. He has accumulated a team high 18.4 points per game. Veteran Nikola Vucevic is right behind him with 17.1 ppg.

It has been a series of unfortunate events for this Golden State team. The only thing to do is move forward by accepting where they are at. They need to accept a losing season ahead of them and regroup in the offseason. They are likely to pick extremely high, if not number one overall come the 2020 draft. Adding a hot prospect to this core group of Curry and Thompson would be a sight to see. It remains to be seen if they will move current workhorse D’Angelo Russell for additional assets. Russell leads the team with 24.3 points per game. Green leads the team in rebounds per game with a solid total of 7.2.
