Toronto Raptors vs Miami Heat

Tuesday, December 3 – 19:30 EST – Scotiabank Arena

The Toronto Raptors will have their hands full with a Miami Heat team that have been playing an exciting brand of basketball. The Raptors are currently a perfect 9-0 at home this season. They will look to use this to their advantage and remain undefeated at home. These teams are eerily close in the standings. Both are 8-2 in their last 10 and Miami can put them on identical records with a win tonight. The Raptors beat the Jazz on Sunday in what was the first of three consecutive home games. Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam have taken over this team in a way no one could have predicted at the start of the season. Siakam put up an incredible 35 points on Sunday. He has surpassed 30 points in two of his last three games and will look to make it three in four tonight.

After losing to the Rockets last Wednesday, the Heat beat the Warriors and Nets to get back on track and start up a new streak. The Heat are ahead of the Celtics and 76ers after 14-15 games, nobody could have seen this coming at the start of the season. This is the second of a difficult three game road trip for Miami. They get the Celtics in Boston tomorrow. A good result in Toronto can help build momentum for a back to back against difficult opponents. Butler has stepped into his role as the leader of this team. He has reached 20 points in two out of his last three games which included 20 points in Sunday’s victory. Recently, Goran Dragic has been heating up. He scored a combined 44 points in his last two outings and will look to remain hot tonight.
