Denver Broncos vs Los Angeles Chargers

Sunday, December 1 – 16:25 EST – Sports Authority Field

Denver find themselves on a two game losing streak coming into this one. Their latest game against Buffalo in which they failed to score more than three points was especially disheartening. The good news is the Broncos earned a victory during their last home game. They will look to repeat this feat against a Los Angeles team who find themselves in a similar rut. The offence certainly needs to improve from the Buffalo outing if they want any chance at winning. The Broncos failed to get their two superstars Philip Lindsay and Courtland Sutton going in that one. Fortunately for Lindsay, the Chargers run defence is quite average. He should have a strong game if Denver decide to focus on the ground game. Seeing as though the Chargers excel in stopping wide receivers it is likely Denver go to ground often.

Los Angeles also find themselves on a two game losing streak. After building exceptional momentum with wins against the Bears and Packers, the Chargers went on to lose against two divisional rivals in Oakland and Kansas City. These two losses hurt them hard after achieving a 4-5 record. At the time a playoff spot was somewhat realistic, however things have changed after losing two divisional games in a row. The offence performed well however it was not enough to overcome the deficits they found themselves in. The Chargers will have the task of shutting out Philip Lindsay. They have struggled against opposing running backs all season long and must break the trend for the win.
