Burnley-Manchester City

Tuesday, December 3 – 15:15 EST – Turf Moor

Manchester City travel to Burnley on Tuesday with hopes of returning to their winning ways. With only one win to show in their last five competitive matches, the visitors need to bounce back with a convincing performance. On the other hand, Burnley has enjoyed mixed results in recent matches. After two convincing displays against West Ham and Watford, the hosts gave up three points to Crystal Palace in a 2-0 defeat. The good news for Burnley is that they have managed to grab 12 points out of a possible 21 at home. Manchester City, on the other hand, have dropped points in two consecutive road games. We are expecting an interesting match on Tuesday, however Manchester City should give it all in this one to bounce back.

Wednesday, December 4 – 15:15 EST – Anfield

League leaders Liverpool welcome Everton on Wednesday with the goal of adding another win to their tally. The hosts are without a doubt clear favourites to go all the way and lift the Premier League trophy this season. It is difficult to see this side not extending their winning streak against Everton. Liverpool have won seven games out of seven at Anfield in the Premier League. On the other hand, Everton are one of the worst teams on the road. The visitors have only grabbed one win in seven games when playing away. Liverpool is also scoring goals for fun, averaging 2.28 goals per game. If that’s not enough to convince you, Liverpool last lost at home against Everton in 1999. Look for them to continue their dominance once again in this one.

Sheffield United-Newcastle

Thursday, December 5 – 14:30 EST – Bramall Lane

Currently on a seven game unbeaten run, Sheffield United will look to earn more points when they host Newcastle on Thursday. The Premier League newcomers seem to have found their form in the top division and they have been showing it time and time again. This is a team that has managed to earn points from teams such as Arsenal and Tottenham this season. Although they have been decent at most at Bramall Lane this season, they are unbeaten in their past three matches. On the other hand, Newcastle have been poor on their travels. They are conceding an average of 2.29 goals per game on the road and simply not scoring enough. The two teams have not met in a long time, however Newcastle manages to earn points against this opponent. Another draw might be on the cards in this one, but we are expecting a match with not many goals.
