PSG vs Real Madrid Prediction & Match Preview

Wednesday, September 18 – 15:00 EST – Parc des Princes

Despite seeing many successful seasons in Ligue 1, PSG have never had the honour of lifting the prestigious Champions League trophy. PSG have won 6 and lost 1 of their last 7 competitive games. Despite their disappointing Champions League runs in the past, PSG have shown that they do not have any problems scoring goals. Thomas Tuchel’s men have found the back of the net 65 times in their last 24 Champions League matches. PSG will feel the absence of Kylian Mbappe, Edison Cavani and Julian Draxler who are all sidelined with injuries. Despite this, Neymar is still in the squad and we can count on him to be a key difference maker in this one. More so, PSG’s latest signing Mauro Icardi is likely to lead the line for the hosts.

Real Madrid have won a record breaking 13 Champions League titles. Despite this, they have not had the best start to their La Liga season. Two of their last three La Liga matches have ended in draws against Valladolid and Villareal. They managed to secure three points in their latest matchup against Levante in what ended in a 3-2 victory for Los Blancos. With this being said, they have conceded goals in every one of their La Liga matches this season. Eden Hazard is still not fully fit, but we may see him come on a substitute in the second half. Real Madrid will need to come up with an excellent performance if they are to take the win away from PSG at home.
